Youtube reached out to Ash Thorp to create a sequence for their Countdown series in turn to be used as selected pre-roll before Live streaming events. Inspired by the breadth and evolution of science and technology, Modular is an experiment in modulating two dimensional graphic designs that can be randomly joined together into a more complex visual groupings.

Each 1x1 unit of Modular was carefully and uniquely designed to both stand freely on its own and also as part of a greater whole. Any module can be replaced with another to create an entirely new formation both in design and animation.
